IFR rating

The Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) rating allows pilots to fly without visual reference to the ground or water. It also extends flight restrictions by allowing pilots to operate in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

Flying without reference to the ground or water, above or in the clouds.
